Active Living Alliance for Canadians with a Disability
Promotes, supports and enables Canadians with disabilities to lead active, healthy lives.

 

Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing - National Capital Division
A not-for-profit organization that has provided skiing experience to the disabled in the Ottawa/West Quebec region for more than 25 years.

 

Canadian Blind Sports Association
Dedicated to providing opportunities for blind and visually impaired Canadians.  It also develops sport and recreation programs for the visually impaired, therefore offers a wide range of programs for all ages to enjoy and to make into able-bodied sports and recreation programs.

 

Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association
Provides sport opportunities for Canadians with cerebral palsy in competitive sports, recreational programs, and technical expertise for coaches and officials.  It also co-ordinates national and international events.

 

Canadian Wheelchair Basketball Association
Promotes excellence and develops opportunities for Canadians in the game of wheelchair basketball.

Provides support, counselling, and information to people affected by Huntington Disease.  Offers a day activity program, support groups and educational sessions for professional and long-term care establishments.

The MS Society offers yoga, swimming and exercise group programs designed for those with MS and their families.

 

National Capital Sports Council
A volunteer body which was established in 1983 to promote sporting opportunities for amputee, blind, cerebral palsy, deaf and wheelchair athletes in the National Capital Region.
