"Informed Decisions & Effective Action Strategies" (IDEAS) Survey Reports
The following reports are based on the findings of on-line surveys designed to help determine how well we, as a community, are doing to eliminate access to barriers and develop City services that enable individuals with physical disabilities to fully participate in community life. Access to Information: Services for People with Physical Disabilities is a summary of data gathered during the months of February to April 2007. An online survey posted in those months asked questions intended to help us better understand how individuals seek information on services for people with physical disabilities, what sources they use and how difficult or easy is it to find the appropriate information.

Public Transit in Ottawa: How well does it serve people with physical disabilities?
This report summarizes information gathered during the months ofOctober to December 2006. An online survey posted in those months askedindividuals with physical disabilities about their experience with OC Transpo andPara Transpo. Recommendations to the City of Ottawa based on an analysis ofthe results are provided at the end of the report. Our purpose is to provide theCity of Ottawa with information and some direction which will help improve the accessibility of the transit services it provides.

Healthcare Guide for People with Disabilities

This comprehensive guide assists people with physical disabilities access the primary health care system. It contains tips on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and avoid common health problems. The guide also contains a description of routine medical tests and a list of Community Health and Resource Centres in the Ottawa Region.
